Kratom Plants
In terms of classification, the kratom plant straddles the line between shrub and tree. Though some specimens can reach a height of 50 or so feet, most top out around 15-20 feet when fully mature (for the sake of comparison, the Giant Sequoias of Yosemite and other Western U.S. national parks, can reach heights of up to 300 or more feet!). The dark green leaves on ones can grow over 7 inches long and 4 inches wide. The flowers grow in clusters and are normally yellow in color, appearing as bunches shaped not too unlike the common American “gumball.”
For most people, though, the real draw of a kratom plant is not what it looks like, or how tall it grows, but the extract and leaves that reportedly have the effect of easing the mind and energizing the body. For those interested, consumers have two options: either purchase the harvested leaves, powder, or extract from any reputable online vender, or try to purchase viable kratom plant seeds to grow your own.
Though ordering the leaves or extract will obviously offer a more immediate and effortless experience (not to mention cleaner), there is no denying the satisfaction of rearing your own kratom plant from seed to mature plant.
