KratomShop.com is a reference library about Mitragyna speciosa — the tree commonly called kratom. It covers botany, alkaloid chemistry, strain and vein-colour terminology, traditional Southeast Asian use, preparation methods, reported effects, safety considerations, and legal status.

We do not sell kratom

Despite the domain name, this site is not a store. It has no shopping cart, no checkout, no inventory, and no way to place an order. It has never shipped a product. If you arrived here looking to buy something, there is nothing here to buy.

History of this site

The library was written and published between 2013 and 2015. It then sat unmaintained for roughly a decade. It came back under active maintenance in 2026, and the legacy articles are being reviewed, dated, and corrected where the science or the law has moved on since they were written — which, for kratom, is nearly everywhere.

Articles that have not yet been through that review still reflect what was understood in 2013–2015. Where that matters, it is called out on the article itself. Our Editorial & Sourcing Policy explains how that review works.

Ownership and commercial relationships

You should know who is writing this and what they stand to gain. This site is owned and operated by KV Naturals, Inc, which also operates Shaman’s Garden, an online retailer that sells kratom, and Kava.com, an online retailer that sells kava.

Most articles on this site contain a contextual link to one of those two stores. Those links are commercial. They point to businesses under the same ownership as this site. We disclose this rather than describe ourselves as an independent review site, because we are not one.

Articles are written and edited by Keith Cleversley. We are not physicians, pharmacists, toxicologists, or attorneys, and nothing here is written by one. We read the primary literature and cite it; we do not practise medicine.
